THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Manager to lead the PtP teams based in our newly created EMEA SSC. This role will provide day-to-day management to the PtP team of ~6 people to provide the most complete, accurate, and timely processing of the PtP activities of all entities supported by the EMEA SSC, covering areas of Invoice Processing, Helpdesk, Travel & Expense, and Payments. The team you will be joining plays an important role in the overall success of the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the Procure-to-Pay process activities and teamwork coordination
  • Manage a team of ~6 people, with a focus on the integration of new talents, engagement, communication, and monitoring
  • Create an inspiring and motivating team environment with an open communication culture, set clear team goals and deadlines, oversee and manage the day-to-day operation, monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Management of one or more of the Procure-to-Pay processes (Invoice Processing, Helpdesk, Travel & Expenses and Payments)
  • Management of monthly, quarterly, and year-end Corporate reporting requirements
  • Perform daily tasks and interact with people at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Collaborate with the internal team, resolve referred issues
  • Build strong communication and close working relationship with the key stakeholders at the market site, corporate and external key stakeholders
  • Ensure existing policies are followed; be the owner of process maps and ensure SOPs (standard operating procedures) are kept updated
  • Implement KPIs to monitor efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of service
  • Effectively manage knowledge within the team (e.g. PtP Cross Training program) and support employee development
  • Ensuring legal requirements respect and service quality
  • Supporting internal and external auditors to ensure the highest quality of operations within the team
  • Drive continuous process improvement in coordination with the PtP GPO
  • Proactively identify opportunities and implement initiatives leading to cost-effectiveness and process simplification


QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a matrix organization (ideally BPO/SSC/GBS), with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in leading a team of 3+
  • Extensive knowledge about accounting and PtP processes (minimum 4-5 years)
  • A Bachelor´s degree in Accounting or Finance. Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CPA or equivalent) is a plus
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken required
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented and results-driven
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, stakeholder management at all levels
  • Ability to work across cultures with all levels of the organization as well as with different functions
  • MS Office (Excel advanced), SAP (advanced)


Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a SSC
  • Controller experience an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur a plus
  • Working knowledge of any of the following languages would be a plus: French, German, Spanish, Italian
