THE ROLE

We are actively looking for a Senior IT Manager as leader of the local IT team (2 consultants) in our Geneva hub location in Switzerland. This role will be focused on end user support for 300+ users that include 50+ VIPs. You will be accountable for quality support of IT local service including management of local IT Team and local IT support (Laptop and software) Video Conference support.  This role will also have regional responsibility for IT Service Management and VIP support.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and managing the local IT support team (2 resources)
  • Reporting the service level to IT leadership
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company
  • Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
  • Provide VIP services to lacal leadership (SSC and COE management)
  • Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Create and maintain tips and tricks solutions
  • Provide introductory on-line & classroom training for newcomers or ongoing

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Essential:

  • University degree in the field of computer science or equivalent experience
  • Min. 7 years’ management experience in IT service, operations, end-user support or similar roles
  • Certifications in ITIL
  • Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including windows operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of network and cloud principles
  • Knowledge of IT-Operations and System Management tools
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure planning and development.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Experience in 3rd party management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to tight deadlines with a multi-task workload.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Fanatical about process, Service management and change management
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • A pro-active team player capable of supporting a high level of operational activity with a ‘hands on’ management style.
  • On-call availability for escalations.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Working in a fully international environment, with business travel both internationally and in the region as required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
