Due to company growth we are recruiting for a Senior Product Developer to join our team to support R&D Care & Styling formulation. We are looking for a strong candidate to lead and execute key projects within this R&D focus.




  • Design and execution of shampoo/conditioner/styling product formulation projects including product tests in global test salons and external cosmetic studies to qualify new care & styling products.
  • Design comprehensive learning plans to validate formulation pathways.
  • Keep clear formulation and evaluation records in laboratory notebooks while following Good Laboratory Practices and managing formula card development process in SAP RD.
  • Partner with the various functions, especially Product Development/Technical Brand Management and Process Development teams, to ensure vertical start-up of care & styling initiatives.




  • Natural scientific/chemical engineering background. Ideally an academic degree qualification (Master or Bachelor).
  • 3+ years of relevant formulation product development experience, preferably in the beauty industry.
  • Scientific method and curiosity with a bias towards hands-on work in the laboratory.
  • Ability to provide leadership in a multidisciplinary project team with excellent communication skills in the English language; German language skills are an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and capable of working with multifunctional groups to move projects forward.
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude, responding effectively to multiple demands.
